We are proud to announce that the Ohioana Authors series just received Ohio Public Broadcasting’s 2005 Program of the Year award.
WOSU received the award on February 14, 2006. Sharing the honor are Kassie Rose, Executive Producer and Host; Kevin Petrilla,
Producer and Engineer; and Erin Deignan, Radio Program Coordinator. Ohioana Authors debuted in January 2005 and will be repeated throughout 2006.
Numerous Ohio NPR stations are also airing the program and/or making available the
accompanying awarding-winning website.
The WOSU Stations, in partnership with the Ohioana Library, and with support from the Ohio Humanities Council and We The People,
presented 52 radio features in 2005 celebrating Ohio’s rich literary and historical heritage and Ohio’s contribution to American culture through the written word.
Ohioana Authors reflect the multicultural diversity throughout Ohio's history and the unique voices that have made the Ohio
experience at once particular and universal.
